Change is not good when it’s this change.
After several years with this disease, tonight is one of the first times my W has been owly, miserable, grumpy – you name it.
He was sleeping when my dear friend Henny called . We chatted for 20 minutes and then I came up to check on him. He was awake with a “look” on his face. Poutty, annoyed? I don’t know. So I chatted with him like crazy trying to change the mood. No. A thousand times no. OK – I’ll just go shower and see if one of us improves:)
After I wrapped in a robe, I checked on him and he was very frustrated (to say the least). Couldn’t find the cat food, in the fridge where it has been for 4 years. Same shelf, same plastic container, same exact place. And I had told him just moments before where it was.
So I asked what the matter was and he said he couldn’t find the food. “Why didn’t you ask me?” Because you were running that thing (hair blower) and couldn’t hear me. “Why didn’t you come to me, the door was open.”
“I don’t know.”
Then he wanted to put the recycling bag in the garage. “What’s the best way to get down?” as he headed downstairs. Of course, the garage door is right off the kitchen.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. It seems to be changing.
We could be entering a whole new phase and it isn’t pretty, folks.
