The finishing carpenter is doing the baseboards today – we should be able to put furniture back and retrieve the (annoyed?) cat from his luxury villa.

The days have been difficult for W. I can leave with him for a while but like to stick around, whip and lunch in hand. Actually, it’s been good. So good I decided to do the bedroom floors, also. Chef is coming the week of Nov. 11 so hope all is complete. W is really looking forward to his visit. Nothing like your sons to hang out with for a change from Mama.

Two drawbacks only – the walls are a soft mocha and for 2 months after painting, I craved DQ ice cream! Now I added a floor the color of hot fudge sundaes so another withdrawal coming up. Only I would be reminded of food.
