It’s not often I sleep in the afternoon – I always protest I can only sleep if I’m sick as a dog – well, today, I was sick tired.
He was still asleep at 2pm so I crawled under the covers. Dead asleep til 4:40pm when I heard his familiar NS drawl:”Weeeeeell, could we just cut it?”
Until you’ve lost hearing the familiar inflections, etc. it probably doesn’t really connect – I sat up and asked, “Are you dreaming, Honey? What do you want to cut?”
He laughed his loving laugh of yesterday – “I don’t remember.”
You know, the hurt is almost more than I can bear – it’s just that I miss him so much.
Well, aren’t we busy bees trying to work in the house and watch the World Series! I was thrilled when W watched the game. He really enjoyed it. The reason it’s so special for me is that he doesn’t want to watch NHL hockey any more. I think it’s too loud and bothers him.
These smooth MLB announcers are great – kind of like the golf announcers. I worry they are hypnotists and I’ll fall asleep:) Anyway, point is, he is comfy enjoying the Series.
I dare not say who I am cheering for.
*****I made oven fries from yams last night and he loved them – course lights were low and game was on. It’s a joke around here about squash and yams – he eats a lot of it and doesn’t know:)
