Thank you all for your encouraging comments. It really is good to hear from my blogger friends. My family supports my going back PT. I’ve left messages for home care assessment. At this stage, all I need is someone to “be here”. Make sure he eats, is safe and maybe take him for a walk, etc. He does not need “nursing” care. Considered putting an ad in the paper but it’s too risky – let home care screen the care givers.

Last night he went to bed fully dressed – in blue jeans with belt, etc. By the time I brushed he was dead asleep. Woke him but he wouldn’t get up to change. Not a big deal but felt may be a tad more comfy out of jeans. He slept like a babe and I stewed about working all night. Was up from 1 til 3:30am

It seems his brain is working doing totally opposite from what it should. I always have him help strip the bed. Today when I explained we’d strip it, he was so willing but jumped into bed. Then, time to pull the pillowcases off and he’s yanking them and trying to straighten them.

He can no longer figure out how to release a shopping cart or get the money back. Course, every coin release is different just to complicate life:)

He has a difficult time finding our mailbox even tho I marked it with black felt pen. If we arrive the same time as someone else, he will sit in the car til they close their box – I’m sure because he realizes he has to figure out which box.

But he’s humorous, kind and never fails to say thank you and always tells me what a great meal it was. Not everyone has that – - -

My sister told me today that a warehouse man who worked at the same company, told her that W always went back and talked to the guys – wasn’t your typical “suit”. I had heard it before. Told him tonight and he was so happy they liked him. He said,”I’ve never deliberately tried to make an enemy.” I don’t believe there is one person who does not like him. Specially me:)
