Did I hear “Oh, no?”. Anyway, we got out today in the lovely sunshine. Very nice for Nov 10th.

A new issue to deal with is that W doesn’t want to get out of the car when I go into a store. Today I drooled over gorgeous area rugs while keeping one eye on my man. Parked right in front and could watch. The salesman thought I was a weird duck, I’m sure, or that my attention span was extremely limited!

Brian flies in tomorrow at 1pm, yeah!!! That will be a time to tear around and get a lot of my shopping done on my own – as long as he agrees to stay with Brian. Don’t think it will be a problem. He is very clingy, clingy but I think he will enjoy a change from me.

When I do my grocery shopping, he will have to decide on going in or having home care as I don’t think it’s wise to leave him alone in the car. Still waiting for a call back from them for assessment and some home care hours – even for relief if I choose to not go back to work. We see the geriatric psych. on Nov. 21.

BTW, the only rug I liked was $2400. Who said I was cheap to look after?!

“Right, left or up and down, behind, in front” seems to cause total confusion for W now. So last night I thought of a solution (after tearing my locks out in huge clumps:) When he can’t find something, I tell him to “pat your tummy” for in front.

You can take it from there for all the rest. It really helps him – a nurse once told me that at some point patients find it difficult to walk. There is no use saying “left, right” – I found that kind of unbelievable but here we are!

Anyway, it’s sunny here and I’m getting him up to do something.
