I persuaded him to try sleeping at 5:30am – I def. didn’t need persuading! Crashed til 9:30am.
Mr. Early bird slept til I got him up at 2:30pm
He would sleep much longer but I had raked a lot of leaves and decided if I had to work, he should be up. Logic is wacky but made me feel better:)
Gosh it’s difficult to watch W being so confused. I guess it’s fuzziness in general. He carried a gallon liquid soap up for me and I said to ‘just put it in the bathroom” – right in front of him. He looks around and heads to our bedroom.
Last night he was helping put stuff “in the garage, where the car is” and I heard the front door open – ran out and it’s on the front step.
At dinner just now, told him he can get the dish from the microwave and he heads for the dining room, head swiveling as he searched.
So many people don’t believe the extent of the disability. I understand that because unless you ask or tell him to do something, he performs quite well – meaning he doesn’t need to perform.
Socially he does quite well. But I guess it boils down to the fact I don’t need to convince anyone. We are living it and that’s the fact – pure and simple and sad.
So this is new. Up and wide awake at 3:30am!
Twice this week (in the night) he has turned the ensuite light on to get a glass of water – for someone who always is so thoughtful, it was a shock. Today, I mean early this morn:), he got back in bed and turned his wall light on and pulled out a book.
For heaven sake, I’ll put coffee on and get the day started.
The cat was royally miffed which kind of softened the blow.
