Archive for November, 2007

I just realized a month today is Christmas Eve!!!!! My house which was to be ready in early Nov. is not! Still one bedroom to do and then start the decorating, etc. which I had hoped to be done earlier.
Never, never start projects in October!
Last night as we lay in bed, he methodically folded the covers back and announced he didn’t like “weight” on his chest. I kind of freaked as worry about CHF or a million other things.
As I thought about things, his father’s death at age 58 from a massive heart attack came to mind. Between these thoughts and Mark’s flight, sleep was poor. It’s my own fault. I should just let things go.
A couple hours later, the cat decided to “perch” on his chest. He stroked the cat and talked to him in his sleep. That (13+ weight) didn’t bother him.
So M&M emailed – all is well. (Thanks, All) They are flying to see her family tomorrow in South Korea and then fly home Dec 1st. Will arrive here Dec. 23rd.
Dad is a bit confused but happy to see an email that all is well.
We had our ‘flu shots today. Too late for my liking but whatever. W got thru it Ok. My arm is sore – he does not feel any soreness.
Phoned again for community care visit from the RN’s at our health unit. We will have a visit soon.
Spent a long while at the laundromat washing our comforters and blankets. Got them all done.
So Mark left for Korea at 12:30pm today – a direct flight of 11.5 hours to Inchon airport. Wish I could be there to see the reunion when MiHwa sees him come thru the customs doors!
We are so fortunate to have sons who love us. He called after check – in and just before security. Dad was all happy to hear from him although thought Mark was on his way to our place. Thank goodness he wasn’t upset. Could hear Mark explaining that they would be with us soon.
They will fly home Dec. 1st and be here Dec. 23rd. That will be great – we may have 10 around the table, missing Brian.
Hope everyone is enjoying a “too much food” day with family near.
I have to go now and do what Moms do best – fret and fuss til we get the email that he has landed safely and is again in her arms.
Happy Thanksgiving once again.
