We lived thru last evening and this morn I knew he had forgotten all about snow shovels and snow and a wicked wife who requested help.
So the renovator guys phoned last night – we’ll be there at 10am – wonderful. Nice to get more done before the holiday Season.
Well, what a day it was (place hysterical laughter here). I suggested we put Buddy in the cat hotel for the day to make it easier on all of us. Understatement of the day, “No, he’ll be Ok with me in the bedroom.” I knew better but memories of last night crept in and I relented. That miserable cat wailed like mad even tho he had litter box, water and food and his master.
The guys were staining 4 oak nosings so we couldn’t have a cat running around – W kept letting him out “cause he doesn’t want to stay in here.” From 10am til 4pm, I continually chased down a big black cat and a husband, corralling them both back to the bedroom. Tried different rooms – same result.
Luckily the guys know the score and were so good -”Uh, Jean, we see a black cat peering around the corner.” Next time, cat motel, if not for the cat, for me.
Good idea, Jean! I am sorry, but I am laughing thinking about this story. I can imagine it was NOT funny while you were going through it!
Have a nice, more relaxing day! We are having snow and ice today in Michigan! A perfect day to get started with my Christmas shopping! Ha ha!
Love you,
Angie xoxo
I think you must have the patience of a saint. It does sound funny, though, I have to admit.
I am laughing out loud at this one! I have a mental picture of “W and the Cat on the Loose”! Sometimes, your sense of humor is the ONLY thing that will get you through…
Hugs.
