		<description>The worst advice I ever gave any patient was telling her to quit her job in order to deal with chemotherapy.  She did not (quit that is) and thrived through the experience.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;All the rest of the worst advice came in the form of estimates.  I&#039;ve given up estimating.  I often will tell patients some of the good things that others have experienced, or always some of the things to watch out for, but predicting the course of illness adds distress to an otherwise stressful time. And Alzheimer&#039;s is predictable only in its downhill course, not in the steepness of the slope.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;I&#039;m so glad your doc was wrong!</description>
