Well, I’m tired of the snow. The only good thing is that it burns calories and gets me outside in the glorious sunshine.
Our “3 car wide” drive is now about 1.5 or 2 cars wide. I’m too tired to toss the snow higher so the drive gets narrower!
Walked around the yard a bit but the snow’s almost too deep for my boots. I checked out the back yard and filled bird feeders, tossed hen scratch out for the quail, hung seed bells.
The ducks “vacuum” up the seed as fast as I put it down so I sprinkled some around cedars, etc. to give the little birds a fighting chance from the ducks. Except for eating it all, the large and small birds live in perfect harmony – unlike humans!
When I took the pic of the clay pot, was reminded that I should have brought it in for winter. A little too late now.
(When I came in from shoveling, I was surprised to see W up. Told him I just finished shoveling the driveway. His reply was, “I know, watched you.” He never would have done that years ago. Told him he was lucky I didn’t know he was up or would have been out there with me.)
Iam so glad I don’t live where there is lots of snow. Our temperature here today was 67*. That is out of the ordinary – but devoutly wished for!!
I lived for a year in Cleveland, Ohio, and I never saw so much snow! The driveway to my garage was long and narrow. Good thing I was young and tough back then, or I’d would’ve abandoned my car ’til springtime. The car? A ’67 Mustang–a ridiculous choice for a midwestern winter.
Here in Denver, I just back the 4-WD Subaru through the snow in the driveway. If I can’t get that car out, then I just stay home.
Wow! That’s ALOT of snow! Yes, it’s good to keep in mind how many calories you burned shoveling all that snow! That would be good motivation to me! Wish we lived closer so that Chris could come over and shovel for you — That and a million other reasons!
All that snow is just so foreign to me. I must get out tomorrow and take some pictures of New Year’s in Florida with the sunshine and blue skies.
