This is the first year I did not have him do any shopping for me. He thinks he did. Usually, he will go out with my sister and choose a few items.
I’m not sure if this was “politically correct” but I bought some stuff, had it wrapped by my sister – she handed it to him to put under the tree.
He was all happy with his gifts for me (and they were what he would have chosen).
I thanked him as I opened them barely holding back tears but I made it thru. He was delighted that I liked them.
Shoot, I bought stuff for my daughter to give to my husband to give to me. I’ve done that for the past two years as he has a horror of crowds plus his lung disease to contend with. I’m not sure about politically correct, but it’s expedient and it pleases him.
Thanks, Doc!
I have a friend who gives his wife’s sister funds to shop every year. It works! Everybody’s happy! Just like W.
The reason I feel “guilty” is that he thinks he did buy them. It’s so sweet, he always says, “Glad you like it, wasn’t sure what to get.”
