Thank you so much, Everyone, for your words of support. W’s inability to function well last night has kick stated me to research those “necklace” things – for the love of me I can’t think of the brand name – which I usually see in papers, etc. Anyway, have appt. with our MD for both of us and will see which he recommends.

Got a call from a patient tonight whose husband was admitted to long term care recently – I suspected he was suffering from Alzheimer’s when he would come in for appointments. My memory of him is a “great big teddy bear” type guy. Very nice fellow.

He was always nice to work on and very polite. She said his decline has totally changed his personality. She and the son and daughter are devastated and kind of embarrassed. The staff have tried to console her but her voice was quivering as she talked to me.
