So the washing machine was “scheduled” to be delivered between 8am and 6pm – uh, I too, have a life but had to sit here til the big truck rumbled up at 12:45pm

The fellows were very nice, loaded it into the laundry room, turned and said, “There you go.”

We’re missing something here, fellows. “You don’t install it?” Negative answer. Sorry for your trouble but you can haul it back to S*ears. They asked what the problem was – I bit my tongue as they are hired delivery men. Told them hold a sec and I’m phoning S. The salesman fumbled around for words and I said not to stress himself out – the washer’s going back.

Put the driver on – “Ok, long as I’m paid.” He very nicely hooked it up and 5 loads later, I am happy.

*****My annoyance was that the guy happily sold it to me, I pre-paid the washer, paid delivery and not once was there a mention that their policy had changed and they no longer set it up. They sure used to.

***** What also annoyed me is that the salesman asked “couldn’t a neighbor just run over tonight and do it?” Maybe he could but I’m not going to – I can go to several different stores and they will happily sell/set-up – I checked! (After the fact)
