Forget the exact words but something to the effect “it’s not the — it’s the grain of sand in your shoe”.
I whine and whimper about how tired I am – it’s the accumulation of many tiny things which end up a great big thing. To be perfectly honest, his ability to help is about at the level of a small child. No longer can I say, “Please get me a can of corn from the pantry.” He no longer knows where the pantry is and if he did find it, would not know why he is there. No longer able to empty the dishwasher, set the table (can carry the dishes – which helps), empty the laundry hamper and bring the clothes to the laundry room, needs help washing his face, I do his glasses, aid him bathing, set out his food, meds, clothes, make all the appointments, do the banking, hire the help, buy the stuff(such as a washers from S*ars!), keep car serviced, oil checked, washer fluid filled.
I salute all single parents who do what I do every day and many have to work full time, also.
The grind wears you down til your body and soul are ragged.
Big thanks to you bloggers who kick start me everyday with love!
