I got a chuckle today – our worker was leaving and we helped carry his various stuff to the door. I tried to pick one tool box up and couldn’t even lift it – my guy picked it up with one hand and the second one and casually walked out. He’s very strong, yet. I was proud of him – - -
All our married life (til 2003) we have never hired people for work – he did it all. Hung gyproc, taped it, painted, installed a 20 x 40′ in ground pool, painted exteriors, built decks, etc. – to perfection. So it’s very frustrating for me to have a guy let his caulking drip on my area rug!
The only thing we hired was for a concrete man to pour and finish our pool deck.
Feel badly for my man as the other night he moved the workers’ stuff and set it out of his line of sight. I think he felt badly.
Told him he did way better jobs but I’m glad he’s retired and can let other people do the work.
“Why, thank you, Honey.”
You are so sweet and gentle to him. I am in awe of that because I tend to be sarcastic….LOL
Thank you, Judy. I wish everyone could meet him – he personifies kindness, love, humor – a perfect gentleman. I love him so much – I can only “imagine” how he’d care for me – I can do no less for him.
