I fixed up his office/den today – he hasn’t used it for 5 years. When he was able, he built bookcases and had his desk and chair, 2 reading chairs and chess table, etc. We had a business so it was a working office. I put 2 twin beds in for several years, tossed them and it’s back to being his “retreat”.

My solution is for his finding his way to it – I’ve mentioned before that he gets lost in the house. The hallway to his office also has bookshelves so I told him to walk between the book cases and he’ll come to his office. Also, put a sign with an arrow pointing to his office.

Yeah – at least for a bit:)

We had always struggled to agree on having a bath – well, one of us! Now I’m having an issue with washing up in the morn. Usually I do his eye glasses while he washes his face (right beside me).

He has started folding the face cloth to the smallest size he can (in a square shape) and kind of spins it around in circles on his face – it’s a half hearted job to say the least.

Being he wasn’t happy to be dragged off to the bath to wash, I tried to lighten the mood. “Feels good, eh, Hon?”

“Not really – you know I don’t like getting wet.”

It’s difficult to not burst out laughing or the opposite. He’s so serious about his disdain for washing/bathing – this from a former spit/polished guy. After a bath, I offer to run the hair blower over his body so he’s really dry. He told me the other day we wouldn’t need to go through this ordeal if he just didn’t bathe. (Well, true, but that isn’t going to happen – to myself:)

Anyone have a helpful idea?
