His fingers have worn a crease “thread bare” in the right leg of all his pants. Until I paid attention, I wondered what in the world happened to them.

Feel badly for him as he must be very stressed to do it.

My posts are not always clear in content or intent.

Although he needs help with many things, I feel he doesn’t realize the extent of his disability. As an example, he rarely reads the newspaper anymore, yes, he holds it and scans the front page for a few minutes and then sets it down. Being he loves the comics and a good laugh, I will reach over and pull out the comics. Some days his reply is, “I can still do that, you know.”

I always reply that he can but the fact is, he never finds them even when actively searching. It’s complex.
