Got to sleep at 5:30am. The three taps on my front door sounded like rockets. It’s 8:45am now as I jumped out of bed.

Only my neighbor, Brenda, knocks instead of ringing the bell – and she would never knock at that hour unless really necessary.

Opened the door to greet ladies distributing tracts. Surprised, I said no thanks and they asked to come in! Told them I have been up all night (take a look at me) and please don’t ever call again, knock or ring the bell. Please take my house number and record it at “visit central” so I’m flagged to not call on. Blank stare. She replied she knocked as it’s too early to ring door bells – do say. The kicker – maybe you should leave a note on your door – excuse me.

One persisted and kept shoving the tract thru my 6″ wide door opening.

Closed the door and got into bed. Jumped out of bed, Pj’s and jacket and sandals. Ran out – they are now parked in my driveway, motor running – two in the vehicle and one “nabbing ” a person walking.

Please leave.
We figured that being you were in bed we could park and not bother you.

Did you write my house number down? I was going to.

Do it – and leave.
Could we come around another time and explain our visit?

I was fired up and called all the offices which these people represent. Faxes on only – at all them. Figures.
