After calling the 800 number on the pizza box, I was satisfied with how the receptionist dealt with the situation.

The receptionist gave me the email address so I could forward the pics to the main office. Also, she offered a multitude of coupons immediately – it was as if she received many complaints. I have to give her credit for her handling of the call.

So, I will rec. coupons for a pizza I wouldn’t buy again but didn’t have the heart to say that to her – she is an employee doing her job.

Will be interesting to hear from the company.

Usually we head off for bed about 11:30pm. After gardening, etc. (!) yesterday, I was tired at 10:30pm – I mentioned we should get ready for bed – he told me to go and he would sit a bit. Well, I can’t leave him to his own devices so said I’d get ready and then come get him.

He kept stalling and I wondered what caused him to want to stay put – then he told me. “Can’t leave the fire til it’s burned out.” Aaakk! I had put a fair sized wood on about 1 hour before.

So we babysat the wood til it died down. I’d get up and beat it with the poker hoping it would break apart and burn more quickly. He kept telling me to go to bed but I worked rather cross eyed with fatigue on my puzzle.

I realize now that he was thinking of our wood fireplaces from our previous home – although they had doors, we’d never go to bed til the fire was out. This is an airtight, safe wood burning stove with thermometer.

***Note to self for tonight and ever more: Do not put much wood on later in the evenings:)
