So tomorrow we visit our geriatric psychiatrist – he is very nice, kind to my man and I. The last few visits, he hasn’t remembered the Doc.

The Doc sees him first, then sees me. All seems so well during the appt. and also fine when we rebook – then we get in the car and he wants to go straight home – no lunch, nothing. The past several years we’d drop into the golf club for a bite – guess to celebrate whatever. Now he doesn’t want to go there, either.

I think it’s probably pretty intense for him during his appt. – trying to answer correctly or whatever. After seeing the score – literally – I need a big, fat hug. I have only burst into tears once at Doc’s – it was last time. He showed me my man’s attempt to write and draw the (cursed) clock – I just lost my cool for about 3 minutes. Sat in disbelief, lower lip quivering and then the flood came.

What will tomorrow bring – guess nothing I don’t know already in my heart.

PS Pansies are his fav.

So, we are getting very frustrated over shoes, specifically runners.

Today, he grabbed mine and tried to “get into them” – needless to say, a bit of a problem and upset.

Doesn’t matter whose shoes are handy, he will put them on.

To help, I have decided only his shoes and runners will be in the back entry. When the workers come back, I’ll get them to build shelves for his shoes.
We were visiting at our painter’s house, our 6’4″ painter, and my guy put the painter’s runners on as we were leaving. All 3 of us had a good laugh but could have been very upsetting.

Kind of sweet – traveling in the States with my sister and her husband. We dropped in to their room to plan something. He took his runners off, set the pillows up and jumped on the bed – “all the comforts of home”.

Same thing in Jasper at another cabin. It’s no big problem and kind of sweet – people just let it go.

Today is a relatively good day so I’m grateful for that. We ran out for milk and a couple things. No big upsets.
