It’s a cold, windy day with just a bit if sun. He got up about 1pm, coffee, ate and back in bed about 3pm.
Was teasing him that if he were bored, I could cure that. He laughed and said he wasn’t bored – then promptly headed off to bed.
So, now it’s 4:45pm and I’d like to wake him but to do what? He doesn’t tolerate hockey anymore, said too cold to go walking. Maybe I’ll wake him and go to the grocery. He seems to always like that.
Even a simple ride in the car can be refreshing:) How about going to a florist and picking just one flower to take home and put in a vase on the table? Is there anything he could do that would be to help some one else? He just seems to be such a caring person and maybe it would boost his spirits if he knew he could still give and it would be a blessing to someone else too….just a thought.
What a great idea! I’ll use it next time. Thank you.
Thinking of you today!
Love,
Angie xoxo
I remember when we first had children, how we’d all go to the store, and what a pleasure that is. Then for years, I went along and disliked the chore as I never could think of what to make for dinner. Now spouse and I go, and he ponders endlessly the price per square foot of Brawny vs. Sparkle paper towels, and I occupy my mental time picturing a sunny beach while he’s thus engaged.
I’m glad that W enjoys the outing.
Hi, Ang. Ditto – hope you have a nice weekend.
Judy, maybe that’s what kids are doing when you see them looking so bored in a market – daydreaming about something nice. You could always plan going to Whitepoint this summer:)
Then, groceries it is! Go for it! There’s so much to choose from. Even I love the grocery store when I’m hungry
