Today was just beautiful. I gardened a bit, chatted with my neighbor who called out, “Hi, W.”
Nearly fell over – he had got up and dressed, opened the basement door and found me. Now, for sure, I have to get the baby monitor for our bedroom – then I could go in when I hear movement.I did not hear him come out.

I went in, made his breakfast and asked if he would come out to help a bit – just putter around carrying stuff for me. He declined (always politely) and said he’d have a sleep. I checked on him about 15 minutes later and he was in a deep sleep.

Our yard is big, well, .28 acre – it is a lot to care for by myself. I cannot get annoyed that he doesn’t help but I have made one decision.

When I find it’s too much (literally) to care for, I will have no guilt to list the house. I am doing the best I can caring for him, the interior, the yard and garden. My hesitation has always been that he loves the place so much – and it is very quiet and peaceful but I realized today, I’m on my own.

Well, it’s that time again. We usually aren’t quite this smiley over the whole thing!
