Thank you for your most generous comments when I was not in a generous state – over a cat! Mercy.
November 03, he was done work as could no longer function – I was still working. We were in pre-AD fog – I didn’t know what was happening and neither did he. Knew absolutely nothing about AD so therefore didn’t suspect it.
I left at 6:30 am and returned at 6pm – 4 days a week. I think, even then, he slept most of the day – but when I came home at 6pm, it was morgue quiet in the house. I was just sick to see him sitting there alone – a big, quiet house.
On a Saturday morn, Dec. 03, I parked in front of Pet*etera and Toys’R U* – said, “Do you want to go in and take a look around?”
“In a toy store???!!!No, thanks.”
“No, the pet shop.”
“Really?” (Read child on Christmas morn)
Long story short, we got Lynx at the SPC* that day – named because of his large, furry paws. Got him home and he sat on my man’s lap all day and slept on his feet all night (still does).
He sits at his feet, follows him around like a dog and adores and comforts him.
I should be so ashamed to envy the cat.
