We’re sitting in the living room talking – he stands up and looks around, heading for the dining room.
“What are you looking for, Hon?”
“The bathroom. I guess this is the best way to go?”
I point to the hall suggesting he use that one or go to our bedroom.
“Ok.” as he heads to the bathroom downstairs.
You poor, sweet man.

Yeah, I finally got him out to the back yard to get a bit of sunshine! It’s getting warm – about 25 here today (80ish).
He enjoyed helping. Got him to drive stakes in the beds, fill buckets with water, snap the leaves off the rhubarb stalks ( that was too much – won’t ask again), carry some bedding plants. (Chopped and froze 6 cups – recipe for a great rhubarb T-bread on the recipe blog.)
I treasure all the 2″ x 2″ stakes he made for me years ago. If I asked, he made it – no problem. I have 6′ tall stakes for our snap peas and the wire fences for the regular peas. A lot of his 1″ row markers are breaking but they are 18 years old.
Put his chair under the cherry trees – the blossoms are falling now – too bad as they are so beautiful – and he loves them.
Hope everyone had a nice day – we did.

Had an appointment with my hygienist at noon today – it’s always a pleasure to see her. In order to get an appointment, I book 4 months ahead. Last night she noticed I had been booked in error with another hygienist. She switched me to herself and moved the other patient – it was not problem as the other pt. was new and didn’t know anyone.
He insisted on coming with me – after I paid, he thanked the receptionist. So sweet.
My man’s dental health is suffering but he won’t let me help brush. Thought I may use the “old mom threat trick” – if you don’t let me brush, we’ll just get your teeth cleaned monthly by the hygienist. I think that would still work – I know, naughty, but I do what I have to do.
