Stressed out, I guess that’s it. I’m clenching, not grinding, at night. Wake up with such a sore mouth and tongue. Off to my precious MD, we decide to try a muscle relaxant. I have upper and lower night night guards, upper and lower soft trays and upper and lower life full of stress:)

Anyway, don’t know what else I can try, I’ll go back and see if he has any other suggestions.

Do you have a suggestion?

Yes I do. I have been chronically stressed since my hubby’s diagnosis (6 years ago). My whole body was aching and I always felt on edge – as if waiting for the shoe to drop or more accurately, afraid that he would stop breathing.
My md put me on Elavil 10 mg. every night. Elavil is an antidepressant, but at this low dose is used for chronic pain.
It works!! It has relaxed my muscles so much that I can actually do aquafit without injury.
Good luck – I hope you are prescribed something that really really helps.

From one who drools at night, I suppose I don’t have much to say. Your Y trips will help. Maybe yoga? Love, Annette
