What to do, what to do? I have been sitting here wondering how I’ll spend my first “4 hour day off” (next week).
Hair salon, saloon? (just kidding), manicure and facial, lunch way over due with friends, shopping for upcoming birthdays, visiting my dental office – Nanaimo bars and brownies in hand? Maybe the pool and or gym?
Tracey thought she would be able to request my time for Wednesdays from 1pm to 4 or 5pm. We live a good 30 minutes from the “city” so I really need 4 hours but she couldn’t guarantee it. If I get only 3 hours, anything I do has to be “do-able” in 2 hours. So, although I hope for a four hour relief, 3 will allow me a nice down time.
Told Shirl I may go to her house and crash for the first one – just go to bed and read til time’s up.
Thanks to everyone for your kind and supportive comments. We are in the “system” again and this is a good thing – especially for the future – whatever it holds.
I think if I were you, the first 2-3 times I had the chance to get away, I’d spend it doing something just for me – not dental or shopping for others. Get a spa treatment, massage, pedicure or something really indulgent at first!!
Good plan, Judy!
I agree with Judy.
Reminds me of how I felt when my kids would nap–read, clean, errands, nap… Often, nap and/or reading won. Refresh, recharge, renew!
Enjoy your “you” time…
This is *your* time. Enjoy
