Actually, I think a mouse got into our garage – didn’t see droppings but saw a tiny corner of a bag chewed. Ah, ha! I searched til I found our lone trap – which was sitting on his tool boxes in the garage. Last fall I had set that trap but put the lawn seed on the wrong end of it – he got many a laugh from that.
Today I asked him to come out with me while I set this one – put peanut butter and cheddar on the “dooie” and bent over to set it on the floor. The trap went off and I screamed. He and the mouse are still laughing – - -
I’ve been sitting here wondering what I should do on my Wed. four hour respite. There are many errands to run, stuff to buy and phone calls to make.
It’s so much easier to shop on my own, never having to worry if he’s out of site. But, maybe I should do “work stuff” every other Wed. and lunch with someone another and just swim and veg the next one, drop into my old office bearing Nanaimo squares:)
I’ve been going to ask if I could garden for an hour or so while she is here. I can’t really leave him in the house and he doesn’t want to go out. Somehow, feel they would frown on that even tho it’s important to me.
Mark gave me a lovely computer bag – I take my day timer, a novel, writing materials and sometimes lunch. Wish I could use my laptop while out. Anyway, it’s wonderful to have my lunch and read for the last half hour of respite. I appreciate the chance to just do nothing or plan something.
I have been scheduling eye exams for every 3 months, hoping to catch a change before he may not be able to accurately answer the optometrist’s questions – just a suggestion.

I have been gradually changing all accounts over to my name – it’s too difficult to deal with otherwise. Most companies are terrific, in fact I only dealt with one which was less than cooperative.
My major task this week is to take our POA to the federal tax department and have it duly noted.
It was kind of humorous dealing with S*ars a couple days ago. I hadn’t ever noticed that I was on his card as a secondary. Told her that he received his new card and I hadn’t – should I call in or what? She very kindly suggested I should have an account in my own name “as you never know what could happen and you need to establish a credit history”. Being she was in her 20′s and I in my 60′s, I found it kind and amusing.
She efficiently set me up with my own account – thanked her and thought, “the never know what could happen” has already happened – and bless you for your kindness.
