This cartoon reminded me of us! When I say I’m just going to make a quick call to “Whoever”, he laughs and says he’ll just lie down and have a sleep. (No wonder he loves Herman)
Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

Today is a first, not one I wanted to experience and I hope it’s only this once -
I always carry the phones around in an old DW cutlery basket so he’s not bothered by them and I get my messages.

Today I forgot them inside when I mowed – he came out rather frantically, motioning to me. “The, the, the – oh, I don’t know what you call it, it’s making noise.”

I had visions of something mechanical going kaput and ran into the house – asked him to show me the problem. He handed me the phone.

Writing my thoughts, kind of rehashing the move/stay situation in my mind. Have been studying M*S #’s all weekend and it will be a long search (unless I luck out) to find a condo/TH, etc. that I like.
Now I’m wondering if I should replace the garage door (wood) with a nice metal one, replace main bath fixtures with white(beige – which I like), replace patio slider doors with French.
If I hire someone for snow and lawns, I can stay here indefinitely.
Town is 30 minutes or so away – inconvenient.
Maybe I’ll make a list of the pros and cons to try to make sense of it all.
Would it be better to see what next year holds and let the progression make my decision?
Questions, questions. Monday, Monday.

Have a good day, Everyone!

Actually, I think a mouse got into our garage – didn’t see droppings but saw a tiny corner of a bag chewed. Ah, ha! I searched til I found our lone trap – which was sitting on his tool boxes in the garage. Last fall I had set that trap but put the lawn seed on the wrong end of it – he got many a laugh from that.

Today I asked him to come out with me while I set this one – put peanut butter and cheddar on the “dooie” and bent over to set it on the floor. The trap went off and I screamed. He and the mouse are still laughing – - -

I’ve been sitting here wondering what I should do on my Wed. four hour respite. There are many errands to run, stuff to buy and phone calls to make.

It’s so much easier to shop on my own, never having to worry if he’s out of site. But, maybe I should do “work stuff” every other Wed. and lunch with someone another and just swim and veg the next one, drop into my old office bearing Nanaimo squares:)

I’ve been going to ask if I could garden for an hour or so while she is here. I can’t really leave him in the house and he doesn’t want to go out. Somehow, feel they would frown on that even tho it’s important to me.

Mark gave me a lovely computer bag – I take my day timer, a novel, writing materials and sometimes lunch. Wish I could use my laptop while out. Anyway, it’s wonderful to have my lunch and read for the last half hour of respite. I appreciate the chance to just do nothing or plan something.
