He had to sign something today – I just hate asking as never want to embarrass him. Told him just put “W” and then his last name.

“I better practice first.”

Got him a piece of paper and he sat and sat. Finally, I wrote the letter W and he did, too. The surname, he printed in big, block letters.

I used to love his signature and watching him write it – it was done “short and sweet”. Now I can barely believe this.

From now on, I’ll just sign and attach the copy of POA. Still have to get to the taxation department with the POA. So far, all levels of government have been very kind, the personnel really deserving a pat on the back for how they handle us.

(Years ago, shortly after Wayne received CPP disability, a message was left on our phone. A MD with the federal govt very casually said, “Hi, Wayne, it’s Dr ***, just wondering how you are doing.” We were both very impressed but didn’t get her name so couldn’t thank her.)
