Our company arrive yesterday, we visited and headed off to bed.
Today, they slipped out to visit people – when they returned, Wayne was sitting in his chair in the living room. As his brother walked in, Wayne was so surprised and said, “When did you get in? Nice to see you.”
Needless to say, a bit of a shocker to all.
I felt that way with my Mom too, continually amazed to see her rediscover everything for the first time. She had enough insight that she too was amazed to be told that she already knew whatever it was that she currently didn’t know. So hard to watch, isn’t it?
I think it is great that he still knows who they are. Does he remember thier names?
Hi Doc, the room silenced for a moment. Another first.
Yes, Eve, he does know them and the names although last night I mentioned someone and he kept saying “who, who” – finally, he remembered and was kind of cute – he almost blamed me for not describing the person well enough:)
Tough moments replay in your heart. I know also, by what you write, so do the sweet ones. Hold tight to the good. Love, Annette
That’s a good lesson for your company. Sort of puts him in perspective immediately.
But isn’t it wonderful that his brother is visiting and that he recognizes him.
I hope you are all having a great visit.
Bear((( )))
Thankful that you had a good visit and that he did remember them. May you feel His comfort when you hurt.
I agree with Kenju – and lots of others. Kind of puts things in perspective for company. It still hurts though….
