Please, please wear your PFD. Yesterday we (the city) lost a young father, poor swimmer, no PFD, fell over board – you can guess the rest of the story.
His wife tried to save him as their 2 children, ages 1 and 4, watched in horror.
Please wear your PFD!!! this summer.
So sorry to hear this…such a senseless loss.
How very sad.
Oh no, there have been so many drownings this season.

Oh Jean–I am sitting here reading, and saying–OH MY. We have had several drownings in this area this summer. People venture out into our local river, and also ponds. Can’t swim well, over-estimate their abilities–and then they are gone.
