Our dear, sweet DIL got back from Korea on Thursday – she spent a month visiting family and friends.

We were chatting and she told me about her family and the well wishes they sent to us. I told her that “someday” I will be able to travel to Korea and meet her family.

Her response tugged at my heart strings. “I understand, Mom.”

“Thank you, MiHwa, from the bottom of my heart.” She is just so wonderful and loving to “Dad” – that means the world to me.

I’m a bit biased, but she is as beautiful inside as out.

Some conversations are unreal, even to me, living it every day.

Tonight, he wanted to go to bed at 8pm.

As I got up, told him to get the (thermal) blanket off his kitchen chair.

“Ok, but where’s the kitchen?”

I was walking toward the kitchen as he presented his sweater. “Is this it?”

So I have a friend dealing with an AD spouse, also.

She is in much more dire straits than I. In order to tell her, “good morning, I’m thinking of you” I just check in on her blog – I don’t leave messages often as we email – but she knows I’m “here” and thinking of her.

Unspoken words often speak volumes.
