“Your loved one may have just as much trouble deciphering your words.” (from Mayoclinic.com)

It worries me as sometimes he shakes his head and says, “I don’t understand you.”

To ease the tension, I ask, “Do I talk funny?”

“Yes.”

He makes me smile – I left the light on over the kitchen table – he noticed and said he may as well turn it off. I agreed.

Then, he’s on a mission. Walks all around to lights which are off, switches them on, then off and says, “There.”

It’s such a small thing but so sweet.
