So, every 4 months we have an eye exam – my worry always is that someday he may not be able to give her a good reading for prescription lenses.

His glasses are scratched so may as well do exam a bit early if we are getting new lenses.

I’m already preparing for, “Whyyyyyyyyy?”

Well, maybe you need to start preparing him for the appointment.

One day at a time… You were on my mind again today and I was on my knees this morning, praying for YOU and thanking God for your openness and sharing your life with us!
    Love,

I am wondering why also every four months.
Isn’t there an anti-scratching coating that they can also put on the lenses?

I would hope the optometrist has some experience with Alzheimer’s pts. Hmmmmm – every 4 months does sound like a little much.

I finally got my mother to see her doctor about her memory problems, which felt like a huge, hard-fought victory. But I still haven’t been able to get her to go back to the eye doctor, which I thought was going to the the easy part. She insists that she likes only being able to see out of one eye. *sigh*

You ladies are great – it is my request to have his eyes ch’d every 4 months. W is sliding away and I want his Rx as good as he can give her answers. She is very good with him and as he does not know left/right, says to raise his hand or pats his arm for rt/left.
Everyone has his/her own problems as you ladies note. Have a good one.
