So the World Se*ies game was suspended due to rain. We decided to watch the game in bed, drinking tea! Why, yes, we do lead an exciting life:)
Anyway, he got rain in his head and proceeded to worry about “our heavy rainfall”, whether our neighbor’s drive would flood, etc. Seems I couldn’t get him off the topic.
Finally I thought of heating some Clam chowder – worked – forgot all about the rain, which wasn’t.
A happy thought – our sweet, young neighbors invited us for dinner Wednesday. How nice is that?
And, my, didn’t it rain! I’m so glad the Rays tied it before it was suspended. Maybe that is just what they need to win it and get back home to St. Pete.
How nice that the clam chowder helped W to forget the rain that wasn’t.
Enjoy your dinner with your neighbors.
I think watching the game in bed, drinking tea, sounds fabulous. And it was nice of W to worry about the neighbors drive, even if it wasn’t really in danger of flooding. Enjoy dinner with your neighbors!
Oh you are precious! You lead an exciting life! I love that sort of calm “excitement”.
Here in the Virginia mountains we watched the rain fall in my husband’s “native city” of Philly while it started to snow lightly outside.
Excitement is overated – I’ve had enough to last a lifetime
Tomorrow they will resume play. My husband cares but not like he did when his other “native city” Boston was in it.
His Dad was with the former Gulf Oil, now Chevron and they lived outside of Boston in Nashua, NH, in Pittsburgh, PA and then finally outside of Philly.
I love checking in on your “high mountain” from my own.
Blessings and prayers,
Teri
Exciting life, indeed. I can relate to that. Sounds just like mine at the moment.
Would rather be snorkeling! Or whale watching!
I want to live your kind of excitement for a while…the kind that involves hot tea and baseball in bed.
Hi Beverly, I was a tad disappointed to say the least.Got my cheering mood going again – no game, just more rain!
Hi dog geek – he is ever thoughtful. We will enjoy dinner.
Hi Teri – snow!I didn’t think about that – we both have mountains.
Wendy, maybe we’ll meet in Jamaica or somewhere and snorkel to our hearts content – someday.
Scarlet – thanks for checking in – I love your blog – always something going on – haven’t read about tea in bed yet, though!
