They were set neatly, side by side, on the front step. I have to figure out (1) how he got out with my being here and (2) when did he do it?
Our neighbor delivered our groceries about 4pm yesterday. No socks then.
I went out for the newspaper this morn and freaked inside. There they lay on the step. Ran back in to make sure he was still in bed. How and when? Our journey may be shortening – home wise.
***Just a little thing that has helped us: I bought ankle socks for him a few months ago – easier for him to get them on (and off!) and also, he had some swelling of his legs so they were better.
After his bath last night, he did need help with them but it’s been good for awhile. The socks deposited on the step were his as had the brand name on them and I counted – he had eleven pairs in laundry, on feet and in his bureau, one pair on step.
I’m getting in the mood to decorate – just browsing thru pictures from last Christmas.
We’re hoping to put on the best one ever this year! How many more sleeps?
Usually I sit in my rocker which is beside his chair. In order to face him and make good eye contact, I moved to a sofa across from him. We were having a “spot of tea” after dinner.
“Why did you move so far away from me?” Needless to say, I sat back in my chair.
I’m like a friend who calls just a little too often – you’re probably tired of me – but you said to call on You so here I am – again.
He needs more help than I can give – but You can give. I just want You to untangle the mess a bit for Christmas. I want You to help him function, not for my sake but for our sons and MiHwa, Neil and Dan. S&R see it all the time but they could use a boost, too!
Usually at this point, I’d bargain. No bargaining, God, just help out, OK? Remembered one other thing, a time line would be helpful. I’d really appreciate it. Maybe you’re trying to teach me patience – isn’t working, as if You didn’t know.
