His brother asked me if Wayne had ever flown helicopters – to my knowledge, no. Yesterday, as they were on the highway, an RCM* copter flew over several times. He recounted stories of his copter days.

I think Wayne was mixing up his (fixed wing) flying days with Nov. 11th remembrances. He said a lot of pilots died and they needed more pilots but couldn’t get enough – and there were many crashes.

Now, we lost a partner/friend in a crash so maybe all these ideas were mixed in his mind.
