I have been wrestling with his week of respite. Firmly believe it could “upset the apple cart” before Christmas.
As usual, worry that this could be our last Christmas at home so want to make it the best I am able to.
Talked to a medical person with 4 years on an AD unit. “Give me your honest opinion.”
She looked at me and said, “I’d wait til after Christmas”, then gave me some scenarios from her experience.
Thank you.
All the others have said it’s no problem, just do it. I, for once, am listening to my gut feelings. So often I don’t – - -

Jean, your gut will speak loudly to you. Just listen. Opinions will help but you are the decision-maker. So hard…I know.

I so appreciate when people answer honestly, not just trying to say what they think we want to hear. Go with you gut. You’re feeling that way for a reason.

Intuition is your own wisdom and cannot be ignored. We usually regret it when we disregard it. Hoping you have a wonderful Christmas season.

Jean, I think you know best what to do if you follow your instincts. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and if it is your last – then good memories will sustain you.

We all have opinions, but you’re the one that knows your man. So go with your gut.

One thing; try to take it easy on yourself over the season; don’t push yourself to have everything “perfect”. Get as much rest as you can.

    Hugs to you both.

I have always found that my gut feelings or instinct or whatever you call it, is usually right.
Enjoy the upcoming Christmas season and remember we are all *here* for you at any time.

Here’s a another vote for your gut feelings…most times they are the true decipherers because it is you that is on the front line.

If it feels right to you, then it is the right decision. The week of respite isn’t going to help you or your health if it feels like the wrong thing to be doing at that time. Take care of yourself – you are a special person!

I have to agree with Ruth. Intuition is our inner wisdom. Go with it.
