Dropped him off at BIL’s at 12:30pm, returning at 4pm. My sister and I enjoyed our Christmas luncheon and shopping trip. Wonderful time.

Although the sky was bright blue, a dark cloud hovered overhead. I had to fore go tea with them and take him home. It was too long a time to leave him. I can see that in order to live, I will have to pay for a 3rd day of care, maybe 6 hours. My 4 hour sessions are too short to get much done as I have a 40minute drive to get to the “big smoke” and then back home – and one can’t be late as the aides are on a strict schedule.

Thank you, BIL, for helping me out – once again!

How nice of your brother-in-law to have Wayne come to his house. Do you have any daycare centers in town where Wayne could go while you have your time?

You mentioned in another post about wanting to meet blogging friends when you can. I’ve met two friends. Kenju is one of them. We had lunch at a restaurant when I was on my way north, and then I had lunch at her house on my way home one year. Vicki, at A Mark on my Wall, spends time in St. Petersburg, so we’ve had lunch a couple of times. It’s always great to put a face to a name. Both encounters have been great.

I look forward to meeting you someday!

I am glad things went well this visit. I think it would be fun to meet bloggers face to face.
    Keep your chin up.

Glad you had a nice time with your sister. If you need a third day of home care, then go for it – a Christmas present to yourself.

Can you possibly work something out with the aides that you presently have, to pay them an additional 2 hours directly on the day they come?
    Just a thought.

In order to give the care that you do, you need time for yourself to recharge, and be free. It sounds selfish, but really, it isn’t. I raised a special needs child, and we were always told to be selfish, so we could go on and do what needed to be done.
    God bless.

    Hello Precious Lady,

I’m thinking of you and praying for you two!

I’m doing a give away at my blog for all the blogger buddies I want to thank.

If you have a chance, stop by and check it out.

    Blessings and love,
    Teri
