Often wondered how I’d react if someone were to break into our home in the night – now I know – blood curdling scream.

Awoke to see a form standing by my shoulders – was deep asleep. Scream!

He jumped and I tried to not die of cardiac arrest. He didn’t speak. Once I recognized it was my dear man, relief flooded over me – until the “what if” scenarios started to flash thru my mind.

I checked around the house – all was well – think he probably had just got lost (on a bathroom call) and wanted to ask me how to find his side of the bed – maybe the bed period.

Afraid to go to sleep tonight although I guess it would be less traumatic a second time. May I add that Buddy, the guard cat, slept thru it – until the scream. He’s still clinging to the ceiling – - -

Wow, what a heart-thumping experience. Had to laugh though at the vision of your fat little Buddy gripping ceiling with outstretched claws. I’m glad to have shared the journey in a small way in ’08, and hoping to remain on as support staff in the coming year!

I know it is so unnerving to wake up and feel someone staring at you…

However, the way you wrote about Buddy made me laugh and that image is sticking in my mind. So funny…

My wish for you in the new year is peace, with how your life may bring changes and how you deal with them.

It is something how we can become such fast friends with our blogging buddies, but I hope you know how we all care about you and W, and even ole Buddy….

Hi Wendy, I wonder what 09 will bring.
Thank you Beverley, it has become a great community of people who care for each other.
Mary, Buddy let go when he realized it was mealtime – he’d never miss that!

Oh, Jean, I fear for your health due to lack of sleep.
