Such a small, huge thing. Home care is Wednesday and Friday. On Thursday night I walked into the bathroom, setting out stuff for his bath – already planning strategy in my head.
Then it dawned on me, they bathe him, I no longer need to plan and scheme, cajole and deal:) A cloak of weary slid off my shoulders – onto the bathroom floor.
Jean–I think you are living the quote you have on your blog side bar–”With acceptance comes peace.”
Jean, so thankful that the “cloak” was able to slide to the bathroom floor. You are remarkable and an inspiration. Blessings on your week end. Praying more rest for you.
I will echo Mary Lou. Now you can stomp all over that cape!!
I have this visual of a mannerly man holding that cape across a puddle of water for you to walk.

That’s a good thing. No more cajoling! I wonder what techniques they use? Doesn’t matter…it’s one less worry for you.
Mary
I love your last line.
A bittersweet moment for you I’m sure. I’m glad you were able to get some help.
Thank God for small blessings. I’m sure home care is a HUGE small blessing and I’m thankful it’s available for you.
