Shopped today with Wayne – something I rarely do as it’s not easy for him. All we did was walk thru Sear* and look at the clothes – marked down – crazy prices.
So, being who I am, I ended up with an armful. Got to the dressing room – problem. Can no longer leave him outside it, sitting in a chair. I peaked in, empty. With great pleading eyes, I asked the
“older” attendant if we could take the first room and go in together. She said yes immediately.
Relief.
I realize now that I have to shop on my own – it was sheer luck no one else was around.
*** I can call her older, meaning wise and experienced – I’m 63, she was probably 45:) Thank you, dear Attendant!
That was good luck. So, how much did you buy? LOL
Hi Judy, 10 items.(All necessary:)
Wow…good for you on the purchases. And yay for Wayne getting a fashion show!
wow, another angel sent to help you. You are truly blessed with people helping you take care of Wayne. Hope today is a good one for both of you. Blessings.
You have to think as if you are shopping with a vulnerable young child, a difficult mindset to adopt with an adult.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way. I’m glad it all worked out for you…and that you bought some new clothes.
I need to do that!
I take my husband in the dressing room with me all the time. I’d rather do that as walk out and parade around every time I try on something. I don’t even ask and never thought about needing to. Now I’m wondering.
Good for you – 10 items. Wow!
That gal had great heart, and insight to your situation! Rules be damned! She was a sista!
Lordy, I never thought about you having to shop sometimes. That would be very hard to accomplish.
I am glad you met an angel while out shopping. It is nice when you find someone kind and considerate.
You may have talked about this before, and may be something you do not want to go to in detail, but, what does respite care involve? Would he be living there?
