So I bought a white plastic basket for his eye glasses – about 5″ x 8″ x 2″ – wrote his full name inside and also wrote, “for eyeglasses at bedtime” for the staff.

I put it by his bed today and showed him. He was just excited – told me it was my most brilliant idea – not sure that was a compliment, now that I think about it:)

Anyway, now he will get used to seeing it before respite and also, it will help us in the days before and after – maybe I am brilliant – just kidding.

That’s an excellent idea, Jean! I know a few other people who could use a specific place to put things (namely mr. kenju! LOL)

Yes, you ARE brilliant. The more things that will stay the same, the better you’ll both feel and that white basket will be something that should calm him if he takes the changes not so well. Good luck.

Of course you’re brilliant. You’re thoughtful and creative, the mix of which produces excellent ideas. I’m sure you had some good ones when the kids were small, too.
