We walked our first walk today (for 2009). I know, kind of pathetic but we have a standing joke, well, he does.

When I suggest a walk, he goes thru all the weather scenarios such as too windy, too snowy, etc.
Being I use the treadmill, I really don’t mind – but, it’s good for him to exercise, also.

We were a block from our drive when I heard, “Are we there yet?” with a big smile.

One time he hailed our local taxi as it zoomed by. The guy stopped. Uh, yes, embarrassing for me, not him!

I hand him two glasses for milk, “Is four enough?” he asks. Now I just say it is. Think he is remembering the days our 2 sons were home. (Previously, if I let him get the glasses, he would set 4 out.)

In order to have him “help”, suggest he holds the glasses while I pour the milk. He turns one glass upside down (very methodically) and waits.

I pour one glass and kind of hesitate – hoping he will turn the other one right side up – but he doesn’t. “Maybe just set the glass facing up.” He bursts out in embarrassed laughter.
