Today we entered the care home via the main entrance.
“This is my home.” He said it how little kids will emphasize, “This is my Mommy.”
I replied that it sure is and every one is so nice. He agreed and happily followed me to the office and nursing station in a vain attempt to find his health care card, missing toque and 2 missing laundry bags. (I guess this is a lesson of what is to come and yes, all were labeled.)
Anyway, I found his statement very touching and sweet. Maybe that will ease things a bit – and this was after the medical visit so he was in good form.
One way to look at it is that you never have a dull moment. On the other hand, such a need for constant vigilance must be extremely stressful.
He is adorable, isn’t he?
Hi, Jean! Sorry I’ve been a bit busy lately. Don’t for a minute think you and Wayne haven’t been on my mind. I’m praying for you guys again this morning! Thanks again for sharing your life with us!
Love you,
Angie xoxo
Can’t believe they lost his health card! And labelled clothes.
Aww, his reaction was so sweet. The transition will hopefully be easier, when it’s time.
At least he apparently had good feelings about “his home”.
HUGS to you.
I think of you everyday. Is he going for a few days, or is it more permanent? You will always have hugs coming to you from all your blogging friends. You are such a loving wife to your man…
