Not sure if I’ve ever mentioned using the shorter tennis socks for AD patients.
His longer socks were a source of frustration. Now he pulls these socks on with little help, as long as he gets them “started right”.
Bought new socks and shorts for him today, decided to wash them right away so put a load of darks in – I missed a Kleenex – how, I’ll never know as checked all the pockets. Maybe he had one stuffed in a shirt sleeve. It was enough of a mess that I’ll turn shirts inside out to check them from now on. Looks like it snowed in the laundry room. My mumblings got the attention of Buddy who is now wandering around like a molting goat – bit’s of white tissue clinging here and there.
Oh that’s a good image–black cat in Kleenex storm. Shredded Kleenex is the bane of my laundry experience– and it’s all my fault as I tuck them in sleeves just like my mother did.
Tennis socks! Another great tip that I will keep in mind for my mother. She likes tennis socks anyway. And LOL at black and white Buddy!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found kleenix in my laundry. The question I ask myself is why don’t I remember to check every pocket each time! Guess I get lazy, but I drive myself nuts!
I hate that!! Makes such a mess…….
I try to check all the pockets, but sometimes I miss them too, and I really hate to open the washer and see that junk in there. It’s better than finding a crayon, though, as I did the last time my youngest granddaughter stayed here.
A tissue in my laundry makes me crazy and if you figure out how to get all those little white bits off dark knits, please share. grrrr….
