So, if I’m not on for a couple days, don’t worry. The guys are bringing oak nosings tomorrow morn and guess who gets to stain them.

Plus, I’m labeling his new clothes and sorting what he needs.

Our home care schedule has been totally changed and I think it will work for the better – seems good. I didn’t request anything, she (RN) just made changes and asked if they would work for us.

There is much discontent with our health care system. So far we have never had an issue, in fact they seem to go “above and beyond” to help us.

Hope all is well in your world.

I’ll wait for the answer, but what the heck are oak “nosings”?

It’s good to know that you are pleased with your health care, and I wish everyone could say that.

Ah, oak nosings are the rounded, finished edge which fits to each stair.Have to be stained before they are used. Our floor is dark walnut.

I’m so pleased you have some positive words for our health care system. Sounds like your family doctor is an absolute gem.

    Hi, Jean,

I haven’t been commenting lately. We’re struggling a bit these days; I’m trying to stay in a good frame of mind, but sometimes it’s difficult. Your example helps.

I don’t know about the criticism of our health care system. It seems to be in the news, and it’s always somebody else, with an issue that doesn’t apply to most people. We have nothing but good to say about the care we’ve gotten. Ditto for all our friends.

And, back a few years, they were all so good, so helpful with Mom and Dad and my aunt. Never a complaint on our part.

We just got a call today from Veteran’s Affairs; Laurie has been approved for homemakers once a week. That will make quite a difference around here. This was not a request on our part; just them checking up on us.

I agree with your comment on our health care system. It isn’t perfect, but it is great;-So much better than in other parts of the world.

Do you have a time frame in mind for W to be admitted, or is all this in preparation for the “when the time comes” moment?

You’re so insightful and thinking of the future all the time. I’m sharing your tips and tricks with my brother in law and hoping he’s taking notes. We had dinner with them on Sunday and my sister in law seemed perfectly normal, which was a nice change. She usually doesn’t call me or HBL by name and doesn’t join in conversations because she has no idea what or who we’re talking about but Sunday was totally different. It’s a mystery how that disease works.

    HUGS

Good health care, and caring staff to deal with…what blessings to have in today’s world. Seldom seen or found for most!
