Archive for March, 2009
Our home care RN phoned today. She is trying to adjust home care days and schedules to do the best for Wayne.
Lots of appointments in rest of March and April. Signed up to tour a care facility which is our family’s #1 choice if/when we need help. Due to long waiting lists, one puts name in early and can always say “we’re doing Ok” – they just keep letting us know when there is an opening.
With a little luck and a whole lot of love, we may delay admittance for a long while yet.

Just heading off to bed with a million thoughts swirling around. Decided to check email and then some blogs – I think I’m slightly addicted.
What a lovely surprise to see Lea had posted this award. Thanks so much for reading.
Now he is hearing telephones ringing – which are not ringing. I have set the cell to vibrat* only and turn the ringers off on the house phones – just check call list often or I do see it flash.
Wednesday marks 2 weeks of new Rx – hopefully it will kick in soon.
Today, he jumped up from his nap and said he was sorry but phone was ringing and he couldn’t find it to answer it for me. This doesn’t “bother” me in itself but will be upsetting to him and also disruptive. Hopefully a one time event.
Seriously very worried that we’re picking up speed on this journey.
It really isn’t all bad. We’re enjoying the beauty of a dozen roses in spring colors, the cat’s napping at his feet and I’m preparing dinner.
Tonight, we pick up my Sis and BIL after their trip to sunny Nevada. They were going to fly home by private jet if they struck it rich so I guess that didn’t happen.
March 21 broke with glorious sunshine, clear blue skies and no wind. Pretty nice day, I’d say. Spoke with all our family members and all is well on that front.
We have walked twice, no I’m not skinny yet, still wishing. Soon as I can leave the kitchen, I’ll do my treadmill. Life is pretty good.
Hope all’s well in yours.
