Our son and his wife are holidaying in the States. They emailed from a popular tourist site – it brought back a rush of memories for me.

Years ago, I’d load the camper/truck and soon as Dad was home from work on Fridays, we’d head South. I hope he is reliving some of those days.

The first time I was “in charge ” of getting the camper ready, I topped up the water – truck groaned and heaved and sighed. He asked me how much I had put in – “You filled it!!!” Didn’t take long for him to lighten the load and off we went. We had a good laugh as were traveling over high mountain passes. Course, cabinets were plugged full – probably canned goods:)
