For about two weeks, he has been obsessed with “stripes”.

One evening he bent low at the foot of the bed and appeared to be examining the bed skirt – then he started kind of mumbling and the only word I understood was “stripes”.

Last night at my sister’s house he began again, not able to make himself understood except for the word “stripes”.

They were totally confused as to what was going on.

For some time now, he has been losing words. I knew it was coming but, darn, it’s difficult to experience.

Does anyone have any ideas? If you do, please toss them out, no matter what they are. Thanks.
